Limerick trained boxer Paddy Donovan produced a huge fourth round knockout to win the WBA continental welterweight title on Saturday night, as he fought Danny Ball at the 3Arena.
Donovan has won thirteen Irish national amateur titles, and boxed his amateur career from Limerick’s Our Lady of Lourdes St Saviours Boxing Club.

The 24-year-old is undefeated in his professional career, winning all twelve of his bouts, three by decision.
Donovan put Ball down in the fourth round on Saturday night, and while the Englishman got back on his feet, it wasn’t long before he was on the canvas again.
The win adds to Donovan’s ever-growing reputation, and the boxing community will be very excited to see what the future holds.
