Both sides were relatively comfortable in their semi-final victories over the weekend, beating the previously unbeaten Tipperary and Cork.
Pairc Ui Chaoimh will play host to the National Hurling League final on April 9 as Limerick take on Kilkenny with throw in at 2pm.
Semple Stadium had been tipped as the possible venue but the Cork stadium was confirmed on Tuesday evening with the time and date also revealed.
It will be a first final meeting of the pair since 2006 when Kilkenny were 3-11 to 0-14 winners to secure a fourth title in five seasons.
Limerick’s 22-year wait for League honours ended in 2019 after they overcame Waterford before defending the title the following year, albeit following a covid enforced delay.
Kilkenny’s last triumph came in 2018 with neither reaching the final since their most recent victory. Limerick have a favourable record in Pairc Ui Chaoimh since its development, drawing their opening encounter there in 2018, winning in the league the following year and also in last year’s championship. However, they did lose their league opener there in February.
The Shannonsiders also beat Tipperary in successive Munster Championship games at the venue in 2020 and ’21 with the latter a provincial final. Kilkenny’s last game there was the opening round of the 2018 league where they also lost to the Rebels.
Both sides were relatively comfortable in their semi-final victories over the weekend, beating the previously unbeaten Tipperary and Cork.
The teams will head to Cork for a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland final where Limerick were two-point winners in a Croke Park classic. The Shannonsiders were also victorious in their previous league meeting, leaving Nowlan Park with a nine-point result.
Neither outfit will have much time for recovery with Limerick kicking off their Munster championship campaign on April 23 against Waterford while Kilkenny have Westmeath the previous evening.
