Premier MHC Game of 2020 – Ballybrown v Mungret St Pauls – Final

Ballybrown notched their second Premier Minor Hurling Championship in a row with a sensational 3-23 to 0-20 victory over Mungret St Pauls at the LIT Gaelic Grounds in September.

The Joe O’Connor and Patrick Hartigan managed side were in superb form with Aidan O’Connor leading the way in an astonishing performance that yielded him a scoring haul of 1-13.

Mungret had started the game the better of the two sides and led by 0-5 to 0-1 after 11 minutes. It could have been a lot worse for Ballybrown if it wasn’t for a stunning save from Josh O’Reilly.

Ballybrown grew into the game after that and Colin Coughlan’s goal (operating at full forward due to injury) gave them a huge lift.

There was only one point between the sides at the break (1-12 to 0-14) but an O’Connor penalty four minutes into the second half set Ballybrown on their way to a monumental win.
