The Intermediate and Junior A Camogie finals will be played this weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, Adare and Galbally meet in the Junior A Camogie Final while Cappamore and Monaleen do battle in the Intermediate decider less than 24 hours later.

Intermediate Camogie Final

Cappamore v Monaleen

Sunday November 21 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 12noon

Cappamore and Monaleen meet for the second time this year, this time with county honours on the line. For Cappamore it will be a case of looking to go one better after they lost at the same stage in 2020. For Monaleen, the junior champions will be looking to go back to back and earn their place in the top tier.

These sides met in the first round of the championship where Cappamore were 3-10 to 1-11 winners. They followed this up with a win over Croagh Kilfinny before sharing the spoils with Templeglantine to earn top spot in the group.

Monaleen regrouped from the loss with wins over CK and Templeglantine that secured passage to the knockout rounds.

In the county semi-finals, Monaleen continued their memorable maiden season at the grade with a 1-7 to 1-4 win over Murroe Boher while Cappamore sealed their place in a second consecutive final with a comprehensive 1-10 to 0-1 victory against Ballyagran.

Both sides have intercounty stars dotted across their teams with the potential clash of Muireann Creamer and Caoimhe Lyons worth the admission fee alone.

This Sunday’s game will be the curtain raiser for the senior final between Newcastle West and Killeedy which throws in at 2.15pm.

And for one of Monaleen or Cappamore, Sunday will present the chance to join the cream of the crop in the senior ranks.

Junior A Camogie Final

Adare v Galbally

Saturday November 20 in Effin at 2.30pm

Galbally were 6-13 to 4-11 winners over Blackrock Effin in their opener before disposing of Mungret St Pauls to qualify for the semi-finals as group winners.

In the last four, Adare were impressive 2-9 to 1-3 winners over Mungret St Pauls. Galbally joined them in the final with a 3-13 to 2-10 defeat of Patrickswell on Monday evening.

The sides are evenly matched with Adare having Limerick stars Sophie O’Callaghan (C) and Caoimhe Costello in their ranks while Galbally can look to the services of Tipperary intercounty footballers Emma Morrissey, Caitlyn Kennedy and Anna Rose Kennedy. A number of Ballylanders unsuccessful Ladies football side ply their trade with Galbally Camogie and will be keen to make up for last weeks Senior final loss.
