PREVIEW: Limerick Camogie set to face Wexford in Championship opener

Pat Ryan’s Limerick camogie side will face Wexford in the opening round of the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship in Newcastle West this Saturday at 2.30pm.

Limerick will attempt to recapture the momentum they had throughout the majority of the Munster Championship before it was stalled by their 4-20 to 2-9 loss to Cork in the final.

Now after a two week rest, Limerick will look to get their All-Ireland campaign off to a promising start with a win over Wexford this coming Saturday.

Limerick’s senior camogie manager Pat Ryan is yet to announce his match-day squad for the fixture. In an episode of Treaty Talk, Ryan told Sporting Limerick’s Jack Neville about the appetite his younger squad members have going into a gruelling championship.

We’ll have to use our bench a bit more… A lot of those players that came on against Cork proved that their hungry”.

Ryan told Treaty Talk

The championship opener is set to take place this Saturday July 17th in Newcastle West, with throw-in at 2:30pm.
