Munster are back in URC action this weekend when they travel to Swansea.com Stadium to face the Ospreys.
Munster face their toughest challenge in the URC so far when they face Ospreys in the fifth round of the tournament on Saturday October 23rd, with kick-off at 7:35pm.
Like Munster, Ospreys have been enjoying a winning start to the URC season with victories over Dragons, Cardiff and more recently Benetton.
Currently sitting at fifth on the URC table, the Toby Booth led side pose a serious threat to Munster’s winning streak with the Irish province having only played outside of Thomond Park once so far this season.
“I think the most important thing for us is the Ospreys, they’ve been playing some very good rugby, they’ve got some brilliant players in their squad and it’s been a very difficult venue for Munster historically to go to and we’ve had some tough battles with them in our European group two seasons ago. They’re a team that we respect and they’ll be a battle on Saturday evening
Munster Head Coach Johann Van Graan
With the dust settling after the release of Andy Farrell’s Ireland squad for the upcoming Autumn Nations Series, 10 Munster players breath a sigh of relief while many others are left disappointed.
Yet with the 2022 Six Nations just over three months away, there’s still time to catch the eye of Irish Head Coach Farrell in the URC over the coming weeks.
Munster Head Coach Johann Van Grann is set to announce his team for the clash tomorrow (Friday October 22nd) before 12 midday.
Scotland native Hollie Davidson is set to referee the round five clash on Saturday October 23rd. Kick-off from Swansea.com Stadium is at 7:35pm and is available live from URC TV, RTÉ, S4C & Premier Sports.
