Both Pat Ryan’s Senior and Junior Camogie sides are in All-Ireland Championship action this Sunday.

The Limerick senior camogie team are set to play Tipperary this weekend July 25th in their second game of group 1. The game will be played at Nenagh Éire Óg with throw-in at 2:00pm.

Limerick will be eager to bounce back from their 1-13 to 2-12 loss to Wexford in Newcastle West last weekend.

Having led for much of the game, Ryan’s side fell to a last minute goal from the penalty spot against the Yellowbellies.

Tipperary however enjoyed a win last weekend, beating Offaly 1-12 to 3-23, and will be difficult to stop.

The Premier county’s resurgence in recent years has seen them into two consecutive All-Ireland semi-finals. They overcame Limerick 1-10 to 1-5 in the 2019 All-Ireland quarter-final, their most recent championship meeting.

Ryan was without key players such as Karen O’Leary and Deborah Murphy last week with both a doubt for this weekend’s game.

Elsewhere, in the Premier Junior Championship, Limerick will travel to Bruff to take on Cavan. They are grouped with Antrim and Down. Cavan are the only team in Limerick’s group who will be reliant on their first team.

The Limerick Juniors will be focused to impress in their first game of the championship having been pulled from the 2020 edition at the last hour. Limerick were the runners-up in the 2019 junior championship but haven’t won since 1995.

Limerick’s clash with Cavan will throw-in at 2:00pm, on Sunday July 25th.
