Preview | Semi-final spots up for grabs in final round of Senior Camogie Championship

There are two spots in the final four up for grabs in the final round of group games this Saturday.

The battle for the final last four spots in the Limerick Senior Camogie Championship will come to a head this Saturday with four games to be played.

Champions Newcastle West and Ahane are already assured of their semi-final spots and will top their respective groups.

Two of Kileedy, Crecora, Bruff, Granagh Ballingarry and Na Piarsaigh will join them in that regard.

In group one, it is a straight shoot out between Kileedy and Crecora for that second spot in the group. Both were defeated by Ahane in the opening pair of rounds but got on the board with wins over Cappamore. Kileedy’s massive victory over the East side gives them the advantage in terms of scoring difference where a draw will be enough.

Ahane‘s meeting with Cappamore is a dead rubber with the latter into a Senior B final and the former guaranteed to top the group.

Defending champions Newcastle West are in a similar boat as they will finish the round robin as group two winners. They take on Na Piarsaigh, who can qualify for the last four but need to beat the champions and hope results elsewhere go in their favour.

If Na Piarsaigh fail to win, then the winner of the game between Bruff and Granagh Ballingarry will go through. A draw would be enough for GB.
