RESULTS | Castletroy win big in Limerick derby as St Munchins also earn victory in Munster Schools Senior Cup

The pre-Christmas group stages of the Munster Schools Senior Cup rugby continued this week across the province.

Munster Schools action resumed this week as Limerick School St Munchins recorded a landslide win over Munster CSP. Munchins College recorded a handsome victory over the Munster outfit in St Munchins yesterday, with the clash finishing 50-31 in favour of the home side. Munchins are now two from three with their only reversal coming against Crescent College.

In group B, Castletroy College dwarfed fellow Limerick school Glenstal Abbey in a one sided fixture that finished 33- 3 in Castletroy. This was a first win of the campaign for Castletroy who were beaten in both of their previous games.

Cork giants Presentation Brothers College outscored Limerick visitors Ardscoil Ris with an impressive final scoreline of 40 – 17. That was Ardscoil’s first loss of the campaign after they started with a pair of wins.
