RESULTS: Limerick Camogie Championships kick off across the county

The Limerick Camogie Championships kicked off over the weekend across the county.

In the standout tie in the Neville Jewellers Senior Camogie Championship, Newcastle West had a huge win over Ahane in a repeat of the 2019 county final. Elsewhere, defending champions Killeedy had a narrow win over Granagh Ballingarry while the last two intermediate champions Crecora and newly promoted Bruff played out a draw.

Last year’s losing finalists Cappamore kicked off their Intermediate championship with a win over Monaleen while there were also wins for Murroe Boher, Killeedy and Templeglantine.

Galbally and Adare were impressive winners in the Junior A championship while there were victories for Doon, Kilmallock and Bruff in the Junior B.

Killeedy and Crecora both had wins in the 12 a-side championship.

Round Two of the championships takes place on the October 3.
