RESULTS | Two teams remain unbeaten in IFC & goals galore in the Junior Championships

The football championships returned this weekend after a five-week hiatus.

It had been over a month since a ball was kicked in the Limerick football championships until this weekend as the players made their return to the pitch.

In the senior championship, four teams remain perfect heading into the fourth round after last weekend’s fixtures.

There was also action in the other levels of Limerick football, including the Intermediate Championship, where only two teams remain unbeaten after the first three games.

In group one, Na Piarsaigh’s draw against Crecora Manister meant dropped points for the former for the first time this season as the game finished 1-5 to 0-8. Bruff gave St. Senans a walkover while St Patricks proved too good for Glin.

Group two saw one team maintain their 100% record as Gerald Griffins were dominant winners over Fr Caseys with 18 points separating the sides. Mungret St Pauls fell to defeat for the first time this season, as they were beaten by one point by Drom Broadford while Rathkeale were also victorious in their game against Pallasgreen.

In the Premier Junior A Championship, Croom remain the only side unbeaten as they received a walkover for the second successive week, this time against Ballybrown. The games that were played however were packed with goals, including a 3-10 to 5-13 victory for Feenagh-Kilmeedy against Monaleen.

Camogue Rovers and Mungret St Pauls maintained their flawless campaigns in the Junior A championship as we approach the final two games of the group stages.
