Robbie Hanley voted GAA.ie hurler of the week

Limerick under 21 midfielder Robbie Hanley has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

Hanley was a stand out figure in Limerick’s All-Irelander Under 21 final victory over Kilkenny in Semple Stadium on Saturday providing an energetic and composed display from midfield.

Hanley earned 665 votes on the GAA’s Official Twitter (@officialgaa) and Facebook pages with Kerry’s Shane Conway second and All-Ireland final man of the match Aaron Gillane third.

GAA.ie Hurler of the Week:

1: Robbie Hanley (Limerick) – 665 votes (53\%)

2: Shane Conway (Kerry) – 402 votes (33\%)

3: Aaron Gillane (Limerick) – 179 votes (14\%)

The Kilmallock clubman left everything out on the field on Saturday as his side ran out 0-17 to 0-11 winners over Kilkenny.

While Patrickswell’s Aaron Gillane receieved 14\% of the votes following his display on Saturday.

Gillane struck seven points for Limerick on the day, including five from play.

It has been a fruitful year for Gillane, who also registered 1-5 in the  Fitzgibbon Cup Final for Mary Immaculate College in February.
