The Limerick native is part of the Irish side in Munich for the European Athletics Championships.
Sarah Lavin finally gets her European Athletics Championships underway on Saturday evening with the Limerick native in action in the 100m hurdles.
Lavin has already seen some of her Irish teammates break records at the championships as she aims for that herself.
The Emerald AC athlete will be in action in the 100mH heats which begin at 8.43pm (7.43pm Irish time) on Saturday evening.
Should she advance from her heat, she would compete in the semi-finals on Sunday evening at 7.10pm (6.10pm IT). The final takes place later that night at 8.45pm (7.45pm IT). The Women’s 100mH final is the third last event of the championships with only the 4x100m relay to follow.
Just a couple of months ago, Lavin claimed gold for Ireland in a meet in Germany and is only the second Irish woman to go sub-13 seconds in the discipline after Derval O’Rourke.
The Lisnagry athlete finished fifth at the World Athletics’ Championships in Oregon in July, just missing out on her PB
She also competed at last year’s Olympics in Tokyo.
To watch Lavin in action, European Athletics will be live streaming all the action from Munich 2022 via their website.
