Scannell and Cronin needing surgery as Munster issue squad update

Only a week into the season and the injuries are already racking up for Munster.

Niall, Scannell and Neil Cronin will join the long list of injured players as both need surgeries after sustaining training ground injuries.

Niall Scannell sustained a neck injury at training last week and will undergo surgery with the hooker expected to be sidelined for approximately two months.

Neil Cronin sustained an ACL injury at training on Monday and will meet with the specialist on Friday to discuss surgery.
There is better news for Conor Murray (thigh) and Shane Daly (groin) with both players expected to train this week.

Chris Cloete (neck) and Keith Earls (back) are currently rehabbing injuries.
