Shannon and UL-Bohemian have booked their places in the quarter-finals of this season’s Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup after impressive second-round wins last Saturday.
Shannon booked their quarter-final place by beating Dolphin 47-7 at Musgrave Park, while UL-Bohemian beat Cork side Sunday’s Well 31-0 in Annacotty.
Shannon will play local rivals Young Munster next in what might turn out to be the pick of the bunch at Thomond Park, while UL-Bohemian will play Cashel in their quarter-final fixture at the University of Limerick.
Meanwhile, Garryowen FC had their quarter-final place already sealed and will travel away to Cork Constitution in Temple Hill next.
