SQUAD UPDATE | Calvin Nash out for Munster’s South Africa stint

Munster’s team and management will depart for South Africa this weekend ahead of their round six and seven clashes against the Bulls and the Lions in the URC.

Munster have what will be a gruelling number of weeks ahead of them as they depart for South Africa this weekend to play back-to-back fixtures against the Vodacom Bulls and the Emirates Lions.

The fixtures will take place on Saturday November 27th and December 4th respectively, before the red army return home to complete preparations for their Champions Cup opener against Wasps in Coventry on Sunday, December 12th.

In the injury front, Munster winger Calvin Nash will be unavailable for the province’s South African tour due to an ankle injury he picked up during the Munster A’s 36-21 win over the Connacht Eagles at UL on Friday.

Munster back-row John Hodnett is also rehabbing an ankle injury, while RG Snyman (knee), Jason Jenkins (thigh), Roman Salanoa (knee) and Chris Farrell (abdomen) all remain inactive due to injury.

A travelling squad for South Africa will be named later this week.
