Stakes are high in the Limerick SFC fourth round | Thursday Football Fixtures

The stakes are high in the Limerick SFC on Thursday night where a number of teams can book their place in the quarter finals at the least.

There is three crucial clashes in the Limerick Senior Football Championship down for decision this evening with each holding knockout significance.

In group one, Newcastle West can book their place in the semi-finals when they play Kildimo Pallaskenry in a game that will be streamed live by Limerick GAA TV. However, the City outfit can out one foot in the last four if they get past the reigning champions.

In the other tie, Fr Caseys can confirm their quarter-final spot and eliminate St Kierans when they meet in Newcastle West. Kierans know a loss will end their chances at progression but a win would give them a huge opportunity to advance.

The stakes are also high in group two where Ballysteen and Monaleen meet. A win would guarantee either a place in the knockout stages while a loss could be detrimental in their chances at moving out of the group.

In the Intermediate championship, Gerald Griffins meet Rathkeale where the loser will be up against in the bid to qualify from a keenly contested group one.

Elsewhere there are games in the premier junior and junior A to be contested on Thursday evening.
