Farrell’s match-day 23 to face the All Blacks is almost identical to the team which dismantled Japan last weekend.
Six Munster players have been named in Andy Farrell’s match-day squad ahead of their Autumn Nations clash with the New Zealand All Blacks. The squad sees just one change to the side which defeated Japan last weekend, with Ian Henderson starting at second row rendering Tadhg Beirne to the bench.
12 of Ireland’s starting fifteen are products of Leo Cullen’s Leinster squad, they are joined by Connacht’s Bundee Aki, Munster’s Andrew Conway and Ulster’s Henderson. No room for the newly fit Robbie Henshaw, who returned to training this week following a foot injury.
Once again, the Irish bench see’s a wealth of experience with five Munster players named, such as Conor Murray, Keith Earls, Peter O’Mahony and Beirne. They’re joined by their Munster teammate Joey Carbery who will seek to finish the game in place of Johnny Sexton. Leinster’s Cian Healy is joined by Connacht’s Finlay Bealham and Ulster’s Rob Herring as replacement front rows.
This Irish team sees a number of New Zealand natives who qualify under World Rugby’s residency rules. Namely, James Lowe, Jameson Gibson-Park, Aki and Bealham, who are set to face off against some familiar faces come Saturday.
Ireland will take on the All Blacks this Saturday November 13th at the Aviva Stadium, kick-off for the game is set for 3:15pm
