TEAM | John Kiely makes six changes for Limerick team to take on Kerry in Tralee

John Kiely has freshened up his side for their final game prior to the start of the National League on February 4.

Limerick manager John Kiely has named his Limerick side to take on Kerry in the second round of the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League.

There are six changes to the XV that were narrowly beaten by Cork last weekend with full debuts for Jimmy Quilty, Micheal Houlihan and Conor O’Grady, all of whom made their first appearance with Limerick last Sunday.

There could also be debuts for Monaleen duo Jamie Power and Donnacha O’Dalaigh who helped their club to the All-Ireland intermediate title last Saturday evening. They are both named amongst the substitutes.

Elsewhere, Ronan Connolly starts at centre-back while Pat Ryan and Darren O’Connell are named in the full forward line.

Dan Morrissey, Robbie Hanley, Shane O’Brien and Aidan O’Connor drop to the bench.

There are two Limerick men among the Kerry line up with Louis Dee named in goals while Mungret St Pauls’ Niall Mulcahy is at full forward.

Regardless of the outcome, the game will serve as Limerick’s last before they travel to Pairc Ui Chaoimh to take on Cork in the first round of the National Hurling League on February 4.
