TEAM | O’Donoghue and Hegarty named from the start as Kiely makes three changes for Munster Final

2020 Hurler of the Year Gearoid Hegarty makes his first appearance of the season this Sunday.

John Kiely has made three changes to the team for this weekend’s Munster Hurling Cup Final with William O’Donoghue and Paddy O’Loughlin named from the start after their cameos off the bench last week and Gearoid Hegarty making his seasonal bow.

O’Donoghue and Hegarty both picked up All-Stars during the off season.

O’Donoghue is in for Brian O’Grady, O’Loughlin starts at wing back after replacing the injured Mark Quinlan there last week and Hegarty comes in for Conor Boylan.

Interestingly, Kiely only has 22 players at his disposal for the weekend. Missing from last weeks panel are Mark Quinlan and Patrick O’Donovan while Dan Morrissey and Seamus Flanagan could make their first appearances of the year.

Throw in at Cusack Park with Clare is 2pm with tickets for the game selling out within an hour of release. The game will be streamed by Munster GAA and Stream Sport Ireland.
