Three Limerick sides learn dates and times for Kennedy Cup Games

There will be three separate Limerick representatives at the SFAI Kennedy Cup next week at the University of Limerick. Limerick District, Limerick Desmond and Limerick County Schoolboy Leagues will all compete in the U-14 national competition which includes 32 teams.

Limerick District Schoolboy League are pitted against West Cork, Roscommon and North Dublin District League in group 7. Noel O’Connor’s outfit will open their campaign against Roscommon on Tuesday June 11th on pitch 4 at 4pm. On Wednesday, it is an earlier start as the District League face West Cork at 10.30am pitch 5 which is situated at the new all weather complex.

Later that day, the final group game sees Limerick face North Dublin District League at 4pm on pitch 7 (All Weather).

Limerick Desmond Schoolboy League have been drawn in group 7 with Donegal, Carlow and Sligo/Leitrim. On Tuesday, the Desmond League face Sligo Leitrim on all weather pitch 5 (6pm). The following day, Carlow will provide the opposition on grass pitch 4 (12.30pm).

In their final group game, Limerick Desmond will take on Donegal at all weather pitch 8 (6pm).

Limerick County Schoolboy League will compete with Kerry, Clare and Kildare and District League. Their first opponents will be Kerry on the opening day on grass pitch 2 (6pm).

In their second clash on Wednesday, the county side will battle with Kildare and District League for a place in the Kennedy Cup quarter-finals on all-weather pitch 8 (12.30pm). The final game of group 5 provides a match between close neighbours Clare and Limerick which will take place on Wednesday afternoon on grass pitch 3 (6pm).

On Wednesday evening, all three Limerick representative sides will find out if they will compete in the cup, bowl, trophy or shield quarter-finals. The finals of all four tier competitions will take place on Saturday with the main event scheduled for 3.30pm.
