Time, Date and Venue confirmed for Limerick’s All-Ireland Qualifier with Cork

The draw was made this morning for the Qualifiers with the fixture details released later.

Cork will have home advantage for this weekend’s All-Ireland Football Championship Qualifier with Limerick as Pairc Ui Chaoimh has been confirmed as the venue.

The game will throw in at 1.30pm this Sunday in the Pairc and will be live on RTÉ.

The fixtures were to have a neutral venue but Limerick and Cork have a home & away agreement in place with the TUS Gaelic Grounds hosting their Munster semi-final clash last year.

The times, dates and venues for the other qualifiers have also been confirmed with a Croke Park double header on Saturday afternoon.

• Clare v Roscommon on Saturday 11 June at 3.45pm in Croke Park
• Kildare v Mayo on Saturday June 11 at 6pm in Croke Park
• Cork v Limerick on Sunday 12 June at 1.30pm in Pairc Ui Chaoimh
• Armagh v Donegal on Sunday 12 June at 4pm in Clones

Limerick have a poor record against the Rebels in the football championship with their last meeting win coming all the way back in 2003.

Their meetings over the last decade have been limited but Cork were victorious in both meetings since Billy Lee’s appointment in 2017, a pair of Munster semi-finals in 2019 and 2021.

Both sides have been beaten by Kerry this summer, Cork in the Munster semi and Limerick in last month’s provincial final.

Prior to that Limerick had defeated Clare and Tipperary to reach a first Munster final in twelve years while Cork responded to the defeat by the Kingdom with a four point win over Louth at the weekend.

The winner will move into the All-Ireland quarter-finals where they will be paired with one of Dublin, Derry or Galway.
