Treaty Talk EP49: John the Baptist in Harty classic & Limerick footballers season opener

The Dali Lama of Limerick GAA Matt O’Callaghan is here to once more offer enlightenment on all things GAA. Top of the bill this week is the incredible Harty Cup 1/4 final between John the Baptist CS and Thurles CBS which ended in a draw and will see a replay on Saturday 19th of January.

“I’ve been scratching my head since left Dundrum yesterday to try and remember a better and more exciting contest. WE had some wonderful games in the all Ireland championship last summer, this was right up there with them.”

Matt O’Callaghan

Also we look back on Limerick’s poor outing in the McGrath Cup and try pick the bones of the defeat to find some positives and something to build on for Billy Lee and his side as London looms on the horizon.

We also look at the mindset of Limerick hurler Seamus Flanagan who is relishing the thought of getting back to business with the county in 2019.
