Treaty United face Midleton FC in Munster Senior Cup meeting

Treaty United are hoping to secure a semi-final spot this Friday, as they host Midleton FC at the Markets Field in the Munster Senior Cup Quarter-Final.

The game kicks off at 7:45pm in Garryowen, with Tommy Barrett’s side coming into the clash as favourites.

Barrett’s men reached the semi-final of the competition last March, before being eliminated by eventual winners Cobh Ramblers.

The Shannonsiders defeated Cork opposition in the previous round, getting past Carrigaline United on a score of 2-0.

It was a disappointing 2023 season for the Shannonsiders, narrowly missing out on the playoff positions in the league, and they will hope to continue a bright start to 2024 with a cup run.

New signing David Tarmey netted in the Carrigaline victory, and fans can expect a number of new additions to be in action this Friday night.

The tie serves as a great opportunity for Barrett to get another look at his squad, as excitement builds ahead of the start of the new First Division season in two weeks time.
