Treaty United finalise preparations for League Venture

Treaty United are preparing for the new season in the Continental Tyres Women’s National League following their acceptance earlier this week. The fixtures for the new campaign were unveiled this afternoon.

The future of a Limerick representative looked uncertain following Treaty United’s decision to pull out of the application process for the Airtricity League underage competitions. As the women’s team were under the same operation, it appeared as though the women’s side would face the same faith.

However, under the leadership of the vastly experienced Irene Hehir and Dave Rooney, who were heavily involved with the Limerick FC women’s side over recent seasons, Treaty United will compete at senior women’s level.

Their first fixture will see the Shannonsiders face a very strong Wexford Youths side at the Markets Field, a venue which Treaty United had secured a month ago. The fixture will take place on Sunday March 22nd.
