League of Ireland First Division action returns to the Markets Field at 7.45pm on Friday night, as Treaty United welcome Bray Wanderers to play their first home game since their opening night victory over Cobh Ramblers.
Since that joyous opening day, United have picked up back to back 1-0 wins on the road, as they collected maximum points to cement their place at the top of the table.
Bray come to town on Friday, the Wicklow side fifth in the table with one win from two. Their game last week against Longford Town was postponed after the pitch at the Carlisle Grounds failed an inspection.
The two sides are very familiar with each other, and this fixture was actually the very first competitive tie Tommy Barrett’s troops played back in 2021, when the pair played out a 0-0 draw.
The teams have faced off 11 times in league play, with Treaty returning four wins compared to Bray’s two. Their most recent meeting was a 2-2 draw back in September, Mark Walsh saving the day late on.
Excitement is in the air in Garryowen at the moment, and everyone involved with Treaty United will look to keep the momentum going with another victory Friday night.
Treaty United fans can enjoy a beer and a burger for €10 at Treaty City Brewery prior to the game, located at 24 & 25 Nicholas St, medieval Quarter, V94 EH57.
