Treaty United share the spoils with Cobh Ramblers | HIGHLIGHTS

The visitors had a barrage of chances as the clock ticked on, but failed to put one away as the game played out for a draw.

Treaty United’s League of Ireland First Division winless run extended to 13 games on Friday night, as they came away from Cork with a point following a 1-1 draw away to Cobh Ramblers.

The result sees Tommy Barrett’s men remain eighth in the table, with Ramblers one place and three points better off in seventh.

Nonetheless, the pair remain some distance away from Wexford FC, who occupy the final playoff position, although the Cork outfit will take solace from some recent good form. Treaty on the other hand continue to search for their first victory since March 1st.

The hosts took the lead in the 19th minute on Friday evening, with David Bosnjak ripping a half-volleyed effort into the top right corner past the onlooking Corey Chambers, to the delight of the home fans.

Treaty drew level minutes into the second half, when Wilie Armshaw’s cross found the head of Lee Devitt who bundled into the Cobh net to level the state of play.

The visitors had a barrage of chances as the clock ticked on, but failed to put one away as the game played out for a draw. Oisin O’Reilly saw red in added time.

Barrett’s side are in action again this Friday, as they travel Leeside once more, this time to face league leaders Cork City.

The teams met in March at the Markets Field, where they served up a 0-0 draw. Treaty have picked up just three of a possible 33 points since that day while City have amassed 24 from a possible 30, going unbeaten in that period.
