Treaty United to face Bray Wanderers in Airtricity First Division opener

The Limerick club will be at home for their opening tie that’s set to take place in the middle of February.

Treaty United will get their 2023 Airtricity First Division campaign underway against Bray Wanderers at Markets Field on Friday the 17th of February at 7:45pm.

The announcement was made earlier today with the rest of the division also learning their first round opponents with the full set of fixtures set to be released on Thursday.

Treaty impressed in the First Division last year, clinching a play-off place where they were beaten 7-4 on aggregate over two legs against Waterford FC.

They also enjoyed an FAI Cup run to remember reaching the semi-finals where they were beaten 2-1 by eventual winners Derry City.

And they begin next years campaign against a side they were unbeaten against on four occasions last season, winning two and drawing the remaining games. Their last meeting was in September where goals from Stephen Christopher and Dean George guided them to a 2-1 home victory.

Elsewhere, newcomers Kerry open their campaign against Cobh Ramblers, Waterford travel to Wexford, Finn Harps host Galway United while Longford Town and Athlone Town meet in Longford
