League of Ireland First Division action returns to Markets Field at 7.45pm on Friday night, as Treaty United welcome Finn Harps in a top of the table clash.
Both sides have picked up 11 points this season, although Harps have played one more game than their Limerick counterparts, with Treaty’s postponed Longford clash now fixed for May.
It was a 0-0 draw with Kerry FC for the Donegal outfit last time out, their only loss this season coming at the hands of Cobh Ramblers, who Tommy Barrett’s men dispatched 3-1 on opening night.
The sides have only met four times in league competition, winning two each. Harps won the first two clashes between the pair 2-0 and 3-0, before the Shannonsiders avenged those defeats with 1-0 and 2-0 wins later in the season.
Lee Devitt saw red late on against Cork City, and he will now face two games on the sidelines. He joins Darren Nwankwo, Callum McNamara and Colin Conroy as the absentees, the trio all currently out due to injury.
Finn Harps have one of the best attacks in the league this season, scoring eight goals in their six games, averaging 1.3 goals per game. However, they come up against the second best defence in the league statistically, Treaty keeper Corey Chambers conceding just three goals this year.
Chambers joined defender Ben O’Riordan in the most recent League of Ireland First Division Team of the Week.
