With a massive wind behind the backs of the Limerick side the girls in black were able to find a goal after just fourteen minutes putting the side a score up. Fantastic play from Iris Kennelly and Shannen O’Donovan saw the ball hit the back of the net.

Dublin were able to react with real composure hitting the back of the net just two minutes later through Niamh Walsh is not to be overlooked.

A second goal from Walsh had the capital outfit up by two at the interval.

Needing to find something that what inspire her team Kennelly was dragged down in the box giving her side a spot kick to retake the lead. Meg Brennan was able to slot this calmly into the bottom corner.
