Twickenham Challenge awaits and Munster ready to lock horns with the Bulls | Something for the Weekend

Sit back grab a cuppa as we go through all the exciting fixtures for the weekend starting with Gaelic, Rugby, Soccer and Basketball

This weekend Munster are set to face the Bulls down in South Africa, Ireland travel to Twickenham to face England in the Six Nations and Limerick prepare to go to war with Westmeath in the football.

Gaelic:

Limerick prepare to take on Westmeath in the fifth round of the Allianz football league. Limerick are hosting the Leinster side in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 7pm.

In division 1, Armagh and Kerry will host Kildare and Mayo respectively on Saturday night. In the other action in this division Donegal face Monaghan at home and Dublin have to travel to Tyrone in an attempt to save their league season.

Down and Offaly face off on Saturday evening in division 2 action. All the other games of the weekend in this division kick off at 2pm. Roscommon play Derry, Meath host Cork and Galway travel to Clare.

Antrim host Longford on Saturday in Division 3. Sunday’s games then include Wicklow and Fermanagh hosting Laois and Louth respectively.

All of Division 4‘s games will take place on Sunday. London come across the pond to face Sligo. Carlow and Leitrim face off in Carlow. A southern battle of Wexford vs Waterford throws-in at 2pm. The final gaelic game of the weekend sees Tipperary take on Cavan in Kingspan Breffni.

Rugby:

Munster take on the Bulls away in South Africa at 14:05 (Irish Time) in an effort to keep up their outrageous run of form. The Munster men will have to adapt to playing at the high altitude down there and this is the first real test this team will face in a while.

Elsewhere in the URC, an interprovincial battle between Leinster and Ulster is on the cards for Saturday night at 19:35pm. Scarlets must travel to play the Sharks. The Lions and the Stormers will host Cardiff rugby and Zebre.

Ireland are set to travel to Twickenham for their second last round of the Six Nations. The Irish need a win here to be in with any chance of keeping up with the French in the running of this tournament.

Wales host France tonight (Friday) at 8pm while Scotland must travel to Italy in their tournament hopes of a top half finish.

Soccer:

Treaty United have a quick turn around ahead of them this weekend. The Shannonsiders face Longford tonight at home at 19:45 . On Monday, the Limerick natives travel to Galway for a second game in three days at the same time.

With an abundance of premier league game being played on Thursday night there are plenty of games that could shock fans this weekend. Liverpool seek to keep their sights on Man City when they travel to Brighton in a game they should expect to win. Man United face Tottenham in a game where both sides will try to prove their performances are getting better. Chelsea and Newcastle face-off then on Sunday while later that evening Arsenal and Leicester lock horns. Finally on Monday Man City travel to Crystal Palace for Monday Night Football.

Basketball:

Grizzlies play against the Knicks where Ja Morant is set to light the game up. Russell Westbrook is playing against his old team playing against his old team the Wizards for the Lakers. The Suns host the Raptors to continue their brilliant run of form. The Heat and the Cavs is the only other game this weekend that may be worth watching.
