Two football games go ahead as club championships put on hold

With Limerick’s progression to the All Ireland hurling final, Limerick GAA have confirmed that club championship games in the county will be postponed until after the game with the exception of two football games to take place tomorrow (Tuesday evening).

The games in question are the Irish Wire Products Limerick Senior Football Championship tie between St Senans and Drom Broadford scheduled for Newcastlewest on Tuesday at 7pm and the Griffin Coaches Intermediate tie between Cloughaun and Pallasgreen penciled in for Caherconlish on Tuesday with a 7:30pm throw in.

With Limerick’s All Ireland hurling final taking place on Sunday August 19, all other club senior and intermediate hurling and football championship games are now postponed until the end of next month.

The next round of games will see the Limerick SFC and IFC played on the weekend of August 23-26. The next round of the club hurling championship will take place the following week.

In the meantime there will be All County Hurling and Football League played across the county.
