The three-in-a-row champions look on course to retain their All-Ireland title with the championship kick-off less than two weeks away.
John Kiely’s Limerick side won a seventh National title since 2018 on Sunday afternoon as they overpowered Kilkenny in the Allianz League final in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
Goals in either half from Barry Nash and Aaron Gillane eased the Shannonsiders past Kilkenny in a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland final.
It was a sixth successive win for Kiely’s men and a first league title since 2020 following a couple of below par of spring campaigns.
Cork in the first round was Limerick’s last taste of defeat, when they let an eight-point lead slip in the Pairc. Since then, Limerick have recorded impressive victories against Clare, Galway, Westmeath, Wexford, Tipperary and Kilkenny with the five-point margin in Salthill the closest anyone has got to Limerick.
All told, the three-in-a-row champions look on course to retain their All-Ireland title with the championship kick-off less than two weeks away.
But before that clash with Waterford, we want you to name your Limerick player of the league as they claimed a 14th ever title.
