Watch: Aisling Annacotty’s Jim Canny “All Teams are Delighted to be Back in Action”

Sporting Limerick reporter Adrian Finnin spoke to Aisling Annacotty Chairman Jim Canny on Wednesday following the appointment of Mike Kerley as the club’s new Director of Coaching.

Canny was delighted with appointment and said that Mike will work with all coaches at the club from junior, schoolboy and schoolgirl sections.

With the return of football for all teams at Aisling Annacotty, Canny admits he is excited by the return but does admit he was disappointed with the LDMC’s decision to cancel the 2020/2021 season.

“I have to give great credit to LDSL section because they ran off a cup in June which was great for the kids. It got them out training and playing. I was disappointed with the LDL (Limerick District League). The majority of the clubs wanted soccer to come back in some format and their opinion was disregarded. But time has passed now, and all teams are delighted to be back.
