Andrew O’Shaughnessy gained nationwide attention as Limerick’s go-to-man during their run to the 2007 All-Ireland Final.
Having made his senior debut at the age of 17 and winning an U21 All Ireland medal in the same year, O’Shaughnessy was destined for greatness for Limerick.
However, a bleak period in Limerick hurling coincided with O’Shaughnessy rise to prominence as Limerick never capatalised on their underage success.
A MS diagnosis near the turn of the decade cut short O’Shaughnessy’s career before his county got the chance to appreciate his talents.
As such was the aura to surround the Kilmallock man, his episode of Laochra Gael will air tonight to showcase his natural abilities.
Laochra Gael begins tonight Wednesday March 21 at 9.30pm.
