WATCH: Bill Johnston on earning the right to wear the Munster jersey and coming through the system

Bill Johnston has impressed when given the opportunity this season and he is determined to take his chance if another one comes this Friday when Munster play the Kings in Musgrave Park.

The former Rockwell College star has had his progress stalled due to injuries in his fledgling career but is now flying fit and ready to earn his spot.

“Being one of the younger lads I know I have to earn the right to wear that 10 jersey, the subs jersey or any Munster jersey.

“I know that it comes with time and everybody goes through this kind of period. It’s what makes you or breaks you as a player.

“If you can get through this tough period and earn the respect of your coaches and your peers, then you earn the right to wear the jersey.”
