WATCH: Billy Holland on Connacht and the stress of Munster’s big games

Billy Holland will win his 200th Munster cap this weekend if he takes the field in their Interpro Pro14 game with Connacht in Galway.

The veteran second row has effectively seen it all since making his debut for the province back in 2007 and knows that Munster are in for a tough test at The Sportsground.

Holland lost to the same opponents on the occasion of his 100th cap a few years ago and is hoping to avoid a repeat of that result on Saturday.

He has been impressed by all aspects of Connacht’s play this season, especially in the set piece and their defence.

“Their set piece is very good. They are very nuggety in defence. When you are looking to attack a team sometimes you see gaping holes and you see an opportunity. There aren’t many opportunities against Connacht.

“The basics in terms of exiting. They seem to get out of their own half quite well. They don’t play the ball on their own try line like they used to. They are a really well rounded team, very well coached and a have a few guys playing outstandingly well at the moment for them.”
