Veteran lock Billy Holland says that Munster’s trip to the Southern Hemisphere should stand to the squad when they face off against Racing 92 in Bordeaux this Sunday.
Holland says training for a fortnight in a similar climate to that which the province will face in France this weekend is a bonus, while the trip also served as a chance for the squad to bond ahead of their biggest game of the season.
“From a squad moral and bonding point of view when you go on a tour like that you get to know fellas very well. It doesn’t get you a win against Racing but it puts you in a better position.”
The Cork man also speaks about the high interest in Munster from the general public in Cape Town but doesn’t understand why it didn’t lead to crowds at the games.
