Limerick face a season defining game this Saturday in Mullingar when they take on Westmeath in the All-Ireland qualifiers.
The Treaty County are looking to move on from the 21-point defeat to Cork in the Munster semi final in their last game and manager Billy Lee believes that lessons have been learned.
“The irony was that it was easy to look back at it (the Cork game) because when you live through something like that, you have so much time through the game to accept our fate.
“You started to deal with it as it unfolded in front of you because it started to happen so fast.
“I suppose that was important too from the point of view, as the experience we have as a management team on how to handle a dressing room at half time, and handle it at the end of the game.
“That was really important because you had young lads in there that didn’t know what was after happening.
“Everyone kept a cool head and when you looked back at it then we were looking at the finer details, to pick them out and not be mulling over it and whinging at ourselves.”
