Munster defeated Cardiff Blues 18-11 last night at Arms Park as Joey Carbery made his long-awaited return to the red jersey.
Although it wasn’t Munster’s greatest performance of the season, the men in red still scored two tries to help themselves to yet another PRO14 win.
Cardiff led 8-6 at the break but a 54th minute Jean Kleyn try from close range converted by JJ Hanrahan gave Munster a second half lead.
Joey Carbery come on after 64 minutes and just over ten minutes later the 25 year-old struck a beautiful conversion from the touchline to help himself to a winning return. The 76th minute try came from substitute hooker Niall Scannell following a magnificent Munster maul.
Up next for Munster are inter-provincial rivals Connacht who travel to Thomond Park on Friday the 5th of March (19:35 KO)
