Limerick athlete Ciara Neville has qualified for the semi-finals of the 100m at the IAAF World U-20 Athletics Championships in Tampere following a second place finish in her heat.
The Emerald AC star ran a season’s best time of 11.54 just shy of her PB of 11.52.
She finished up behind Great Britain’s Awuah Kristal who PB’d with a time of 11.35.
Neville’s teammate Gina Akpe-Moses has also progressed to the semi-final finishing second in her heat in 11.58.
Tomorrow’s semi-final is scheduled for 4pm Irish time while Neville will also take part in the women’s 200m and 4×100 relays later in the week.
