WATCH – Clare Senior Football boss on Saturday’s meeting with Limerick.
Colm Collins looks ahead to the Munster Championship quarter-final tie with familiar foes Limerick this Saturday.
There was only a point in it the last time the sides met at this stage last year with Clare running out 1-13 to 1-12 winners at Cusack Park, while the margins were almost as tight in the two campaigns prior to that.
The Banner finished third in division 2 of the Allianz Football League this season while Limerick ended their division 4 campaign second from bottom.
Collins doesn’t think that will matter come Saturday.
“When Clare and Limerick play divisions go out the window a bit. I think that there’s great rivalry between the two counties and we’ve had close games with them over the past few years”
The Clare boss brings his side to the Gaelic Grounds to face Billy Lee’s charges for a 7 o’clock throw in.
