Munster back rower Conor Oliver is relishing the Pro14 trip to Cadiff’s 4G surface and enjoys playing on the fast track. Oliver suffered a shoulder injury in pre season that required surgery and had to sit out the entire first half of the season.
The former Leinster Schools Cup winner with Blackrock College made his return in a man of the match performance against Connacht in January, featured prominently against Zebre last weekend and should again see game-time against Cardiff at the weekend.
While not the biggest for his position, Oliver admits that the 4G artificial surface at Arms Park will suit his game.
“I actually prefer to play on the artificial pitch because it’s a bit faster. For the smaller guys, I think it is a bit easier.”
Watch the interview in full below as Oliver outlines his thoughts on round 15 of the Guinness Pro14.
