Dan Goggin has taken his chance with both hands this season. Getting into the team at the beginning of the season due to long term injuries to Jaco Taute and Chris Farrell, Goggin has shown that he is well capable of stepping up when given the opportunity.
Goggin has now played in both games against Leinster this season, as well as Munster’s opening two Champions Cup clashes with Exeter Chiefs and Gloucester.
Munster’s win over Leinster at Thomond Park last Saturday was a bruising encounter and one that the 24-year-old enjoyed thoroughly.
“It’s one of the biggest games of the calendar year and to be able to play in such a big game in front of such a big crowd with a great atmosphere is huge. I will cherish it forever.
“Those kind of big games aren’t the toughest on the lungs, it’s a real clinical game. Both teams have to be on top form. It’s at a higher level though, physical wise. It’s a real step up.”
