WATCH: Darragh Droog hopeful that “honest, hardworking” Limerick minors can get result in Cork

The Limerick minor team go for a second straight win in the Munster minor championship against Cork in the curtin raiser for the senior game. Limerick overcame Tipperary in the Gaelic Grounds last time out in a battling display where they trailed late on. Contrasting to that, Cork were beaten by Tipp last Sunday.

Each minor game has been won by the home side and Limerick will be keen to be the first side to buck this trend. Ahead of the game, Limerick minor S&C Darragh Droog has outlined the importance of having home advantage and the pressures on minors to perform in a new enviroment.

“Home venue is exceptionally important to it.”

“That said, you’d be going down quite hopeful that if you do your job successfully you stand a chance of winning the game.”

“It is hard to know how young men will react in an unfamiliar environment.”
