Treaty United earned a credible 0-0 draw on Friday night with title chasing Galway United at Eamon Deacy Park. Tommy Barrett’s side produced a strong defensive display to curtail the home side’s attack and also managed to create three good chances of their own in the first half.
We caught up with Treaty United striker Dean George after the game and he re-iterated that the team were just concentrating on putting in a big performance.
“Against Athlone we were happy with the result but the performance wasn’t there for the full 90 minutes. Against Galway, we knew it was going to be a tough game and it was all about the performance and to come away with a point is great.”
