WATCH: Declan Nash on “formidable” Tipperary team ahead of quarter-final clash

Limerick travel to Semple Stadium this Saturday evening to take on Tipperary in the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Camogie semi-final.

This is Limerick’s first time reaching the knockout stages since their return to the senior ranks five years ago and manager Declan Nash is well aware of the challenge that awaits his side.

“Completely different situation. Quarter-Final against Tipp in Thurles is a completely different ball game but it’s something we’re looking forward to, something we have been trying to achieve for the last number of years.”

Limerick won their opening two championship games against Offaly and Wexford but followed those games with defeats at the hands of Kilkenny and Galway.

Those games allowed Limerick the opportunity to test themselves against the very best in camogie where Nash’s side acquitted themselves very well.

This Saturday will be no different according to the manager as Tipp look to go a step further than last year’s All-Ireland semi-final loss.

“They’ve been in the knockout stages the last five years in a row, beaten semi-finalists last year so they have a point to prove in their home ground.”

“A formidable outfit.”
