“Since I came to Doon back in the early 2000’s it’s
alwaysbeen Doon, Na Piarsaigh, Kilmallock and all these teams fighting it out at the top level and all the way down to even U14 level.”
Although, Na Piarsaigh have got the better of Doon in the first round of the championship this year, Doon’s ten point victory over the Caherdavin team in the League final will surely have inspired confidence in a Doon team that have lived up to expectations thus far this year.
“There’s a
great rivalry there. We’ve played Na Piarsaigh two or three times already this year in the senior and the League and then we played them in U21. Its always been a good rivalry, never any dirty strokes pulled, or any major rows. Two teams willing to go hell-for-leather with each other.”“Either team can win on the day and that’s the way it should be”
