Ballynanty Rovers manager Dave Dunphy was delighted with his side’s start to the Premier Division season as they picked up a 1-2 win over Mungret Regional on Sunday morning. The result makes it 2 wins from 2 following the 5-0 win against Geraldines last Thursday.
Dunphy will now prepare his side for a big game against Pike Rovers in LIT on Thursday evening with both sides hoping to challenge for the title and both holding 100% records early doors. However, Dunphy is not getting too carried away and is just hoping to come out of the early hectic schedule with his still in a healthy position.
“You cant get too carried away. We have played 2 and won 2. We will move on to Pike Rovers on Thursday which is a very difficult game. You cant win a league in the midweek fixtures but you can definitely lose it. If we can come out of the midweek fixtures there or thereabouts, we will be happy when we get to the Sunday to Sunday business then.”
