WATCH: Ellis enjoying life at Ballynanty

Ballynanty Rovers striker Connor Ellis is certainly enjoying his football at present. The former Limerick FC man scored no less than five goals in his side’s 6-1 victory over Janesboro in the Tuohy Cup on Thursday night.

Ballynanty went behind to a goal from former player Arron Nunan but Ellis proved the difference as he scored two superb solo goals among the five. It was a very pleasing night on a personal front for Ellis.

“It was good because as a centre-forward you want to score goals. That’s the main thing. They (Janesboro) are a sticky side.

They are struggling with injuries and went 1-0 up and made it tough for us. I think in the second half they ran out of steam and the injuries they picked up didn’t help them.”

Ellis also speaks about his time at Ballynanty so far and what the future will hold for the in-form striker.
